# Southland Christmas Light Show – Terms & Conditions / Liability Waiver
By purchasing a ticket and/or entering **Southland Christmas Light Show**, all guests acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
### 1. Assumption of Risk
Southland Christmas Light Show is held on the grounds of a working nursery and outdoor event property. By entering, guests understand they may encounter:
- Uneven terrain, dirt, gravel, mud, roots, grass, and natural outdoor surfaces
- Wet, icy, or slippery conditions caused by rain, irrigation, sprinklers, ponds, or agricultural operations
- Low lighting conditions along walking trails and throughout the property
- Temporary structures, electrical cords, Christmas decorations, light displays, inflatables, and event equipment
- Flashing or animated lights, music, sound effects, and other holiday attractions
- Fire pits, heating equipment, and other potentially hot surfaces
- Animals, agricultural equipment, and other hazards associated with a working nursery
Guests voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with attending and participating in event activities.
### 2. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, guests agree to release, waive, and discharge **Southland Christmas Light Show, Southland Festivals, Southland Nursery**, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from claims, damages, injuries, losses, or causes of action arising from the inherent risks of attending or participating in the event, including:
- Slips, trips, falls, or other accidents
- Personal injury or property damage
- Participation in attractions or activities
- Weather-related conditions
- Interactions with animals, inflatables, decorations, fire pits, or event structures
- Other incidents occurring on festival grounds
This release does not apply to claims or liabilities that cannot legally be waived.
### 3. Bounce Houses & Attractions
Guests acknowledge that bounce houses, inflatables, slides, play areas, craft stations, and other attractions involve inherent risks.
- All guests must follow posted safety rules and staff instructions.
- Children must meet applicable age, height, and safety requirements for attractions.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
- Guests must use attractions appropriately and safely.
- Management reserves the right to close attractions due to weather, safety concerns, maintenance, or operational needs without refund.
### 4. Fire Pits & Outdoor Safety
Guests acknowledge that fire pits and other heating equipment may be present throughout the festival grounds.
- Children must be supervised near fire pits at all times.
- Guests must maintain a safe distance from flames and hot surfaces.
- Running, horseplay, or unsafe behavior around fire pits is prohibited.
- Guests may not move, adjust, or tamper with fire pits, heating equipment, electrical displays, or Christmas decorations.
### 5. Photo, Video & Media Release
By entering Southland Christmas Light Show, guests grant permission to **Southland Christmas Light Show, Southland Festivals, Southland Nursery**, and affiliated brands to photograph, film, or record their image, voice, and likeness during the event.
Guests acknowledge that these materials may be used for:
- Social media
- Advertising and marketing
- Websites
- Promotional materials
- Digital and print media
Guests agree that no compensation, royalties, or payment will be provided for authorized promotional use and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished materials, to the extent permitted by law.
Parents and guardians purchasing tickets for minors acknowledge this media policy on behalf of children under their supervision.
### 6. Tickets, Admission & Purchases
- **All ticket sales are final and non-refundable**, unless otherwise stated or required by law.
- Tickets are valid for **one guest and one-time admission on any scheduled open night** of Southland Christmas Light Show.
- Children ages 3 and older require a ticket. Children under 3 receive free admission.
- Tickets may be used on any open night, subject to event operations and posted policies.
- General admission is **NOT all-inclusive**. Admission provides entry into the Christmas Light Show and festival grounds.
- Food, beverages, merchandise, and other separately priced products or experiences are not included in general admission.
- Santa Claus appearances occur on select nights only and are not guaranteed with admission.
- Attractions, activities, vendors, and entertainment are subject to change without notice.
### 7. Weather & Event Operations
Southland Christmas Light Show operates **rain or shine**, unless management determines that conditions are unsafe.
Management reserves the right to:
- Delay, modify, or cancel event operations due to severe weather or safety concerns
- Temporarily close walking trails, inflatables, or attractions
- Adjust operating hours or event schedules
- Restrict access to certain areas of the property
Guests are encouraged to check our official Facebook page for announcements, weather updates, operating dates, and schedule changes.
### 8. General Guest Policies
- Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove guests for unsafe, disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior without refund, subject to applicable law.
- Guests must follow all posted rules, safety signage, and staff instructions.
- Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible parent or guardian.
- Guests may not enter restricted, employee-only, or operational nursery areas.
- Guests may not touch, climb on, damage, or interfere with Christmas light displays, electrical equipment, decorations, or event structures.
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property except as required by law.
- Guests are expected to respect the property, event staff, vendors, animals, and fellow visitors.
### 9. Acknowledgment & Agreement
By purchasing a ticket and/or entering **Southland Christmas Light Show**, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and Liability Waiver.
Guests understand that Southland Christmas Light Show is an outdoor event held on a working nursery property and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with attendance and participation.
**Parents and legal guardians purchasing tickets for minors agree to supervise those minors and acknowledge these terms on their behalf, to the extent permitted by applicable law.**
